First day of work today.
Bill feels pangs of unease, deals with it.

Although I’d set the alarm clock for 6:30 am, I was awake at 5:17. Pretty refreshed, too. Dreamt a lot last night, but unusually, I can’t recall anything specific.

Yesterday opened kind of dark and overcast but rapidly got warmer and brighter. Your typical hazy-milk blue overhead by the time I got to wander in the ritzy-clapboard construction of the neighborhoods bordering the uncaring expressway by the company I’m now at, come lunch time.

I watched in appreciation yesterday as Michael, the training manager of this outfit, went to town in his presentation to us apprehensive dopes who are actually going to be on the phones. He was amazing - enforcing points with gestures & different colored pens on the white board; employing figurative devices, such as tipping his chair forward against the lectern-table to symbolize “empty seats in the call center”; suading our complicity by periodically prompting us, “...and wouldn’t you agree?”
He employs very clever arguments so that we may find fortification in them against our own unease in this job.
...

Well, we’ll see.
